In a stunning rebuke to Trump’s SOTU address last night, progressive champion U.S. Rep. Summer Lee laid out what people across this country are feeling: anger at a rigged system, frustration with corporate politicians who protect it, and pride in how our communities are fighting back.

Lee’s remarks came straight from the heart of her working-class upbringing, watching her community work hard while stretching every dollar. She laid out what Americans today deserve: affordable homes, healthcare, good jobs, childcare, and time with family. Her roadmap for getting there: taxing the rich, getting money out of politics, and putting working people first.
