Comedian Chuck Nice sits down at the Stand Up for Climate Comedy Show on Earth Day 2025 to break down why humor is one of the most powerful tools we have to confront the climate crisis. From working alongside Neil deGrasse Tyson, to reading the research that changed his life, Chuck explains how comedy can spark awareness, cut through denial, and push all of us to take action on the most urgent issue of our time.

When a woman in Tennessee was denied prenatal care because she’s unmarried, it didn’t just expose bias; it exposed a system that’s legally protecting discrimination. From 2018 to 2022, Tennessee ranked number one in maternal mortality. Now it’s making headlines again for all the wrong reasons. The state’s new Medical Ethics Defense Act gives doctors and hospitals the power to deny care based on moral or religious beliefs, and they don’t even have to refer patients elsewhere. In this episode, we unpack how religious freedom is being weaponized to deny care, what state-sanctioned discrimination really looks like, and how silence from lawmakers turns moral hypocrisy into law.

Now that No Kings has happened in October, let's keep the momentum going into the new year. The No Kings Alliance, the rapid response arm of the movement, invites you to visit NoKings.org/alliance to maintain a culture of defiance. Stay vigilant, stay united, and continue to push back against these efforts.

Keep People-Powered Media Strong This Winter

As Winter approaches and we look back on the past year, it’s impossible to ignore just how much we’ve been asked to witness and withstand. From rising economic pressure, assaults on civil liberties, and the dismantling of vital federal services, the fight for people-centered journalism has never been more urgent.

Amid all of it, viewers turned to Free Speech TV for clarity, for context, and for coverage rooted in human dignity rather than political convenience. Every day, we amplify the voices fighting for collective liberation, and we do it because viewers like you make it possible.

This Winter Pledge Drive, airing from December 1 to December 12, we’re once again asking you to help keep that work strong. FSTV doesn’t rely on corporate sponsors or billionaires - we depend on community support to remain fiercely independent.

Your pledge fuels reporting that challenges power, uplifts grassroots solutions, and connects audiences to the organizing happening in every corner of the country.
