Post-Election Message to Viewers

Beloved Community,

Today is not the day many of us envisioned. 

We share your disbelief and your grief, your anger and your fears.

And we see you; none of us is alone today. Let’s grant ourselves the time needed to process what this all means, especially for the most vulnerable among us. 

Raymond Williams once wrote, “To be truly radical is to make hope possible rather than despair convincing.” Let’s rebuild our hope and turn it into healing, resilience, and finally, action. 

Need some direction? Join us in hearing what some of the pro-democracy movement’s best thinkers and organizers see as a collective path forward:  Tune into Free Speech TV on Thursday 11/7 at 8pm ET for Making Meaning of the Moment: Post-Election Mass Call, organized by the Working Families Party, MoveOn, Indivisible, Count on Us and 200+ progressive organizations. 

Setting the table will be Working Families Party’s Maurice Mitchell; US Representative Pramila Jayapal (WA); Indivisible’s Leah Greenberg; MoveOn’s Rahna Epting; and inspirational movement organizer, Ash Lee Henderson. That’s some damn good company to keep.

The organizing slogan of "We fight, we win" is not only about single elections or advocacy campaigns. It's a long-run strategy. To build power. Together. Whatever it takes.
