Tell FIFA: Keep ICE Out of World Cup

As workers prepare stadiums, hotels, transportation systems, and host cities for the 2026 World Cup, labor leaders are sounding the alarm about the possible presence of ICE and other immigration enforcement agents around matches.

ICE’s presence would not make the World Cup safer. Workers deserve to do their jobs without wondering whether a background check, a credentialing process, or a security checkpoint could put them or their families in danger. Fans and visitors deserve a tournament that is welcoming to people of every background.

FIFA has enormous power over how this tournament is run. FIFA President Gianni Infantino and World Cup 2026 leadership can publicly demand that immigration enforcement be kept out of host cities, clarify DHS’s role, and guarantee that worker information collected through credentialing or background checks will not be used for deportation.

Tell FIFA President Gianni Infantino and World Cup 2026 leadership: Keep ICE out of World Cup matches and protect workers, fans, and communities.

Netroots Nation 2026 is Almost Here!

Since 2006, Netroots Nation has hosted the largest annual conference for progressives, drawing thousands of attendees from around the country and beyond. Get involved, attend the conference, or watch here on FSTV from June 4-6, 2026.

“Good Trouble Lives On” Mobilization

This July, six years after the passing of civil rights icon Congressman John Lewis, we will continue the fight for voting rights with the “Good Trouble Lives On Weekend of Action (GTLO).” This year’s GTLO is a three-day national mobilization to honor the legacy of Congressman John Lewis by doing what he loved most - organizing and registering voters. This year's theme is “TEACH! REACH! PREACH!”, a call to demand “hands off our vote!” in the face of disenfranchisement threats, on July 17th-19th, Washington DC & nationwide.
