This week Democracy Now! heads to Wisconsin, where Democratic Governor Tony Evers is pushing back against alarming threats from Trump’s former border czar Tom Homan, who suggested state officials could be arrested for defying Trump’s mass deportation agenda. The escalation comes after the FBI arrested Milwaukee County Judge Hannah Dugan, raising serious concerns about political retaliation and abuse of power. Lisa Graves, former deputy assistant attorney general and now director of True North Research, joins to break down the implications. “What we’re seeing is an absolute degradation of the rule of law,” she warns. Graves is also the co-host of the Legal AF podcast and author of the upcoming book Without Precedent: How Chief Justice Roberts and His Accomplices Rewrote the Constitution and Dismantled Our Rights.
Help Bring Closed Captioning to Free Speech TV
For years, Free Speech TV has been missing something vital: closed captioning. That changes now—with your help.
We’re launching a special campaign on Friday, May 16 to raise $10,000 to begin phasing in closed captioning across our network. This is a crucial step toward making FSTV truly inclusive and accessible to all.
We’ll start by captioning our video-on-demand programs, but that’s just the beginning. Our ultimate goal for the future: Closed captioning for every broadcast—on-air and online.
Thanks to a generous group of Frontline Funders, your donation will be matched up to $6,500, doubling your impact!
Now’s the time to act. Let’s make Free Speech TV a space where everyone can engage, learn, and be heard.
Together, let’s open the door to a more equitable future for FSTV.
